Legendary studio chief Robert Evans, right, was the subject of a salute presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on May 22, 2008.

As head of production for Paramount, Evans turned out films like “The Odd Couple”, “Rosemary’s Baby”, “True Grit”, “Love Story”, “Harold and Maude”, and “The Godfather”, among others. His autobiography “The Kid Stays in the Picture” became a movie in 2002.

Here he is pictured with musician Slash who attended the tribute in 2008.
