Bristol Palin, daughter of half-term governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, claims she had an awkward encounter at her place of work after a woman blurted out to her “Bristol Plain is an idiot,” without knowing who she was.
The younger Palin assured, “I promise I really do work a normal job, and have for a while,” and described the woman was one of her patients at an undisclosed health care facility, who began chit chatting about how she’d heard Palin used to work there. The woman apparently didn’t recognize her and Palin did not stop her to disclose that she was, in fact, Bristol Palin.
“It was a long time ago, when her mom was running. She didn’t work here long… but Bristol Palin is such an idiot,” the woman allegedly said.
Palin said that in response she “about died!!!!!!!!!!!!” and then offered, “Well actually, I am Bristol Palin and I have worked here, and I think that’s pretty rude you would say something like that.”
She then said the woman’s “face went white” before Palin told her the doctor would be in, walked out and closed the door behind her.
Later, the woman apologized and sent her flowers, according to Palin.
“I know she felt terrible, and I know she had no reason to call me an idiot,” Palin recounted.
She was inspired to write the post after reading a biblical passage from Proverbs that says, “The mouths of fools are their ruin, they trap themselves with their lips.”
Palin, who wrote she is 7 months pregnant with her second child, then launched into a religious screed about treating people kindly.
“We have so many opinions of people we don’t even know,” she wrote. “We have so much hate coming from what we’ve heard or seen online. It’s unbelievable. This verse from today just so hit home to what had happened yesterday. God is the only one who can judge us.. And I know that sounds so cheesey, but I am serious. He’s the only one.”
Aside from being the daughter of Sarah Palin, Bristol is perhaps best known for appearances on the TV show Dancing With the Stars. She has recently taken a stand against birth control.
