Yoskay Yamamoto
(Toba, Japan) gets his inspiration for his work from the U.S. West Coast’s urban culture. Yamamoto is most well known for fusing pop characters from the U.S. with traditional and mythical Japanese elements. This kind of art successfully depicts a cross culture blend of Yamamoto’s original Japanese heritage as well as icons from Westernized pop art. Yamamoto does paintings, sculptures, and collaborates with other artists on murals.
