Creation Full of Power, Speed and Rhythm by Tian Haisu
Originally from China, Tian Haisu has adapted two art forms to create her own unique artworks. She uses rollerblades that are fitted with ink pots to paint on large scale canvasses. Her work mirrors the art of calligraphy, while the physicality of creating the work is like ice skating, which is Tian Haisu’s other love. In an interview she explains:
My whole body is involved and I produce all kinds of ink landscapes. Such creation is full of power, speed and rhythm. (The Daily Mail)
Her works are very large. One of her latest paintings was 43 feet by 20 feet. Tian Haisu is currently studying art at the California College of Art. Thanks to Junk Culture.
