20 Photos That Will Convince You That Iceland Belongs

Many don't know quite what to expect but are swept away by its natural beauty. Photographer Julien Fumard wrote about his shot, immediately below, "Jökulsárlón. A name that every photographer and every person that visited Iceland remembers. A gorgeous place although very accessible. A place where fiction and reality meet once the sun sets, playing hide and seek with a thick layer of warm and glowing clouds. I first got acquainted with this young lagoon in the middle of a classical afternoon. I was quite deceived : lights were harsh, place was crowded and strange vehicles were sailing over and driving out of the lagoon with their whole lot of tourists on board. No, my first rendez-vous was far from what we call a success ... However something happened and I came back in the "evening", around 11PM, for the sunset. I immediately fell in love."
