Artists on Tumblr

Following a year in Europe studying painting, I noticed how hard it was for paint to dry in Japan because of the high humidity. This made me more conscious of the environmental differences between the two places, and inspired me to make this work. Before the paint had dried, from top to bottom. Then I chose a landscape with a perspective that made the horizon seem as if it continued forever. It is my hope that in this work, order will be maintained but at the same time superseded, and the instant that a dynamic, positive and free form of energy is released might be expressed. The World Before I Go To Sleep by Caras Ionut

500px

My name is Caras Ionut and I’m a family man from Romania – I’m 36 years old, married and I have a little angel, named Ioana who’s almost 3,5 years old. I love my life, my family and I also love traveling. I try to make funny things wherever I go, for example, I dance, sometimes scream on the street – I don’t have any problems expressing myself in public space.

The aerial photographs of Kacper Kowalski .

If you haven’t seen much of Poland yet, then Kacper Kowalski’s aerial photos will make the perfect introduction. Born in 1977, the artist originally holds a degree in architecture, but has turned to piloting and photography instead. While flying above northern Poland, he found two incredibly beautiful lakes and decided to capture them as they change throughout the seasons. One of the lakes is in Kashubia and another one in Pomerania. Being in control of both the plane and the camera gives Gdynia-based artist a unique ability to control and handle each shot as he pleases, so each photo is thought-through and completed.
