Hello everyone,
Good friend of subtilitas Michael Eliason has recently started a blog focused on Baugruppen, a collectively owned and dense urban housing model that is garnering a lot of momentum in European countries. Mike is part of the reason I decided to start this blog back in 2009, as early conversations at the old Archinect discussion boards introduced me to an endless amount of work I’ve featured here throughout the years. His old site, Brute Force Collaborative, is still a fantastic resource on passivhouse design.
The site will certainly be an interesting and informative vessel for conversations regarding new models of collective housing, hopefully a trend we see adopted more in the US. For a primer, please see his multi-part series written for the Urbanist.
