Atsu’s painting “White Ghost"   ( Top )  was chosen as the winner of the Endangered Wildlife category in the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’s 2015 Wildlife Artist of the Year competition. "White Ghost” is among the works currently on show through Saturday, July 4, at the Mall Galleries in London in this annual event, held to support the foundation’s efforts to support endangered wildlife. Atsu Harada was born in 1962 in southern Japan. Surrounded by the natural abundance of mountains and the sea, it was here that his lifelong passion for wildlife, and wildlife art, began. He continued to paint even while pursuing the corporate career expected of his generation, and ultimately left the business world to devote himself to art full-time. He seeks to portray the astonishing diversity of life, and only regrets there will never be enough time to depict it all.
