Santa Barbara is a small town located in the colonial area of Santo Domingo, the capital of The Dominican Republic. Historically used for slave traffic, and today almost completely forgotten by the rest of the city.

During a full week, the Modafaca platform has been working together with locals for the Hoy Santa Barbara festival which has brought over artists from Puerto Rico (Bik Ismo, Celso, Vero Rivera) New York (Esteban del Valle ), Colombia (Ceroker) and Dominican Republic (Gabz LPA, Angurria, Cristian Pimentel, Gina Paola, Natalie Ramirez, Leks, Poteleche).
