Joseph Walsh
Joseph Walsh (1979, Ireland) is a self-taught Irish furniture maker. His ability to morph wood into fluid, ribbon-like, intricate forms makes him stand out from the rest of the furniture crowd. Walsh gets his inspiration from his interests in nature and tactile aesthetic forms. He has been recognized internationally but still chooses to remain in his homeland of Ireland. “We have control of the environment and space here,” he says, “It is great because you have these reference points. It keeps your feet on the ground, but gives so much back.”
